With nine years of experience in the fashion industry, I've forged my path from the ground up, without the support of family connections or financial backing. Now, I'm ready to share three invaluable tips to help aspiring photographers and filmmakers break into this competitive field.1. Connect with the Right People: Starting from scratch without any financial backing or family connections can be challenging, but it’s entirely possible to succeed with the right approach. In the fashion industry, clients often rely on stylists to curate and produce shoots, making them valuable contacts for aspiring photographers and filmmakers. By networking with stylists and showcasing your talents, you can establish yourself as a reliable collaborator, opening doors to opportunities despite starting with limited resources.2. Build a Strong Portfolio: When you’re starting with little to no funds, building a portfolio can seem daunting, but it’s essential for gaining traction in the industry. Diversifying your portfolio is key, as it demonstrates your versatility and attracts a broader range of clients. While editorials may offer exposure, the real growth and financial stability often come from campaigns and advertisem*nts. Starting small by collaborating with emerging brands or artists allows you to showcase your skills while gradually expanding your portfolio, even if it means investing your own money to a certain extent.3. Collaborate Wisely: It’s crucial to navigate the fine line between collaboration and exploitation, especially when you’re starting from scratch. While collaboration is essential for growth, it’s essential to ensure that you’re not being taken advantage of in the name of exposure. Clearly defining the terms of collaboration, such as limiting the number of garments featured or setting boundaries, helps maintain a fair and respectful partnership. By prioritizing mutual benefit and ethical practices, you can build positive relationships and avoid exploitation in your journey towards success in the fashion industry.By following these steps, you can navigate the competitive fashion world and pave your way to success as a photographer or filmmaker. Remember, success takes time. Take it one step at a time, and prioritize long-term stability over quick wins. Focus on building relationships, improving your skills, and making smart choices. Don't rush. Take your time to achieve lasting success in the fashion industry.Tag your friends who want to break into the fashion scene or are facing challenges getting started. Product shoots may appear straightforward, but they are often complex and intricate in their finer details. It’s not merely about photographing a product in an aesthetic looking frame. It's about capturing the essence of the brand and its identity, which ultimately appeals to its target audience and carves out a unique market space. In today's evolved marketing landscape, this aspect cannot be overlooked.A shoot is more than just a camera capturing an image; it's about the artistry involved in creating each frame. Recently, I led a project as an Art Director, where orchestrating a successful shoot required meticulous planning, creative vision, and seamless execution. From the crucial pre-production phase, which involved developing a nuanced mood board, scouting locations, and hiring models, to an intense three-day shoot, every detail was considered. From the lighting in the frame, the placement of every strand of hair on the model's face, to steam ironing the creases off the product; all at once. This project was one of the most fulfilling experiences considering it being an advertising/marketing shoot.A big shout out to the team- HiVoco Content-Tech Studios Pritesh Chothani Ann Afreen Eroloc#advertising #marketing #shoot #productshoot

A fusion of sports, style and culture. For LFC’s 2023 Firma collection we created a sportswear campaign viewed through a high-end fashion retail lens.We enlisted legendary Liverpool boxer - and lifelong Red - Callum Smith, to be the face of the campaign. A thoughtfully-curated, minimalist set, was carefully lit to showcase the range’s luxe, premium feel and allow the product to shine. Every tiny but exquisite detail of the clothing’s cut and texture was highlighted by our stills and post-production teams. The final result? A powerful suite of assets designed to cut-through the noise; combining sharp stills, elegant video pieces and short-form, social-ready content. An iconic campaign at the intersection of sports and fashion.🥊 Concept and Creative🥊 Casting🥊 Set Creation/Lighting🥊 Motion Graphic/3D Motion🥊 Video Production🥊 Short-Form Content Creation🥊 Stills Photography🥊 Post ProductionCreative x Production#lfc #lfcfirma #footballfashion #sportsmarketing #sportsads #videoproduction #advertising #stillsphotography #clientwork #creativeproduction

𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 +, 𝗮 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴Spotify Wrapped dropped on Wednesday, and it was the perfect reminder for us about why people share content online. This year they added a cool twist- "Me in 2023" personalities. Why does this matter for your photography competition, Hasmukh?Well, it's not about the numbers. It's about how these recaps let people define their online identities. We post on social media to showcase the image we want others to see.As we planned our social media calendar to inspire and raise awareness of the competition, Spotify Wrapped served as a great reminder.Gemma, our genius, crafted a graphic showcasing the therapeutic power of photography and it is by far the best-performing content on Focus +. It explains how one's well-being can be improved through micro-actions of, in this case, stopping, appreciating, visualising (and capturing the moment).Having seen the impact of posts like this, we've prepared a series of posts (in a packed calendar with photo inspo and prize info) that photographers of all levels can relate to.___The competition is live and running until 31/12/23.Just 2 more prizes to find and secure, and seal the deal with some potential corporate sponsors (If your business wants to get behind the message of positive habits and micro-actions to improve well-being, let's talk)Oh and I'm about to be a dad any day now 🍼👶Peace! ✌️Image: IG @litteram
